After spending a summer in Alaska, everything changed for James. What started as a deep love for the outdoors—one that led him to earn his USCG captain's license and spend a season guiding anglers through some of Alaska's best fishing waters—turned into a passion for entrepreneurship and the freedom to work on the things he loves. He carried that drive back to Ferris State University, where he finished his undergrad in Construction Management and discovered a knack for building things that last. Today, James channels that same energy into construction, real estate, and the small business owners he gets to work alongside. Getting to know their stories, understanding the challenges they face, and finding real solutions to their problems—that's what gets him out of bed in the morning.

Web design, marketing, and AI-powered automation tools are just a few of the ways James helps small business owners work smarter today. He remains deeply rooted in the construction industry, working with contractors and other small businesses to source real estate deals—particularly in the warehousing and industrial space. When he's not building solutions for clients, you can usually find him behind a camera—photography is another creative outlet that lets him see the world a little differently. And when fall and spring roll around, he's back on the water hosting fishing trips in Northwest Michigan, sharing the same passion with others that changed his life and the way he lives it.
